Prof. Cosmas Anyanwu holds a PhD (Agric. & Bioresources Engineering) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and MSc (Chem. Engineering) from University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is an Associate Professor in the of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering and Head of the Renewable and New Energy Systems Programme of the World Bank funded ACE-Impact Project (ACE-SPED) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is and experienced Renewable Energy Professional, Certified Stove Testing Expert and Lead expert in several national and international Renewable Energy Projects. He has served as Renewable Energy Consultant to the German International Co-operation Agency (GIZ), International Centre for Energy, Environment and Development (ICEED), ECOWAS, as well as many other renowned agencies. He is involved in development of professional short courses for capacity building in the energy sector. His research interests are in Bioenergy, Waste-2-Wealth, Solar Thermal technologies, as well as energy modeling.
